Microbial Projects (Molds and Fungi)

Indoor Air Quality and microbial assessments are regularly conducted to identify biological indoor air contaminants such as molds and dust mites; as well as VOCs, formaldehyde, radon, and nuisance dust.  Properties that we have assessed include private residences, schools, military housing, industrial, commerical/retail, bio-tech facilities, laboratory 'clean rooms' and office buildings.

Lead Industrial Hygiene Projects

Lead Abatement at Elementary School

Lead abatement project guidelines / Work Plan development – (Confidential Client) Unified School District in California.

Glass Plant Demolition

Project oversight with air-monitoring and reporting for selected constituents during the full demolition of numerous major glass plant refractors in southern California.  Contaminants of concern were silica, alumina, lead, ceramic fibers.

Hazardous material surveys and subsurface investigation during a year-long project involving the seismic retrofit of a historic concrete bridge; Work Plans; Health & Safety Plans; Industrial Hygiene oversight during heavy metal and carcinogenic compound removal.

Major Refinery Lead Abatement

Industrial Hygiene Project Oversight during the abrasive blasting of aboveground fuel storage tanks painted with lead-based coating materials at various refineries located in Southern California.  Work included Lead-Removal Work Plan Development and Implementation, Medical Surveillance Plans, Respiratory Fit-tests, Respiratory Protection Plans, OSHA Compliance Assistance, Air-monitoring and Reporting.
